Some online container resellers will send your container on a 45′ long non tilting trailer. You are then responsible unloading the container using your own equipment like a forklift or crane!

Restricted Access Areas: Our compact-size trucks are suitable for delivery locations where tractor-trailer size trucks cant fit.

We ask that you please read and understand this section before placing an order. It is very important that you follow these steps to insure a stress free delivery for everyone.
1. Ensure Sufficient Space: Make sure there is enough space on your property to accommodate the size container you hope to purchase. Keep in mind you’re going to want access in and around the container for maintenance, egress to other parts of your property, and loading and unloading large items out of the door way. Measure the available area and consider factors such as the container size and the maneuvering space required to place it there. Ensure that there is at least 12 feet of width for the truck to maneuver from side to side. We also need at least a 65‘ strait path to exit when pulling the trailer out from under the container. This means we can not back into the drop area on any angle and then drive away. It all has to be done in a strait line. ( see fig 2 ) We have to unload towards an exit, we can’t unload in a direction that will allows the dropped container to block the path of exit from the property.
2. Clear Obstructions: Clear your driveway or property of all obstacles that may block the truck’s access. Remove parked vehicles, trash receptacles, or other items that obstruct the path. In urban deliveries on narrow streets it is very common to have ti move vehicles on the opposite side of the street allow the truck to back into the property. Please coordinate with your neighbors before the delivery! In some cases it may be necessary to place orange cones to stop cars from re parking and causing access issues.
3 Site prep. Prepping an area for your container is imperative. See fig 3-6 for ideal container pad sites. Aside from wide open concrete and asphalt parking lots, you need to verify you have a dry, level and easy accessible pad. Read though our FAQ’s below for more information.
4. Permission for placement. You may need permission first If you are placing a container on shared, rented or public land. Make sure you have authorization from your landlord, land owner, neighbors, business partner or township FIRST before purchase!
Frequently asked delivery questions
Our drivers will assess the delivery location. If it is found unsafe, If your location is not as described, placement is refused or disputed by the landowner, landlord lord, neighbor, municipality, or you failed to follow our delivery guidelines, you will incur a one way delivery charge. If the driver gets stuck or pinned in any way while attempting delivery after you instructed him to continue, despite soft ground conditions, you will incur a one way delivery charge and be responsible for the recovery. If you can provide a local secondary delivery site, we will do our best to deliver to that location. However, if that is not possible or if you decline the delivery at that time, you will incur the one-way delivery charge, due on the spot.
Acceptable: Dry compacted gravel, dry compacted dirt, asphalt, concrete
Not acceptable: Loose dirt, wet gravel & dirt, mud, sand, soft grass, snow & ice, steep inclines or declines, sloping surfaces, drains & ditches, trenches
Shipping containers need to be kept level; otherwise, you may encounter issues with the doors, such as stiffness or becoming unworkable. These containers are specifically designed to tolerate a certain level of flexing while at sea on a shipping vessel. However, when you place a shipping container on uneven ground, it may flex to one side, causing difficulties in properly closing the doors. Despite their size and strength, containers are sensitive to shifting when placed on uneven ground then loaded down heavy.
Delivery on grass or sand is generally not the most stable option, and our transport partners may consider them unsuitable surfaces. Specifically, delivery on sand is not possible, while we prefer to avoid delivering directly onto grass. However, if you still prefer to have the container placed on grass, please share a photo of the location and ensure that the surface is dry, packed and firm.
For the delivery process, a hard flat surface is necessary on the road, entrance, and the designated spot for the container. This is because both the delivery trucks and the container itself are heavy, requiring a firm surface to safely maneuver and position them. In the case of placing the container on grass, it is advisable to use landscape timbers or wooden planks to prevent the container from sinking. Additionally, the ground should be dry, packed and firm to avoid any issues with the truck sinking into soft ground during unloading.
While grass is generally easy to repair once you’re finished with the container, it is important to note that if the area is wet, access may be restricted once the delivery is complete. Therefore, it is crucial to consider the condition of the ground and ensure it meets the necessary requirements for a successful and smooth delivery process.
- Determine which way the doors of the container will face once it is delivered. This will help you plan the placement of the container at your location prior to your container arrival.
- Ensure that you have enough space to fully open the container doors when placed. Take into account the width and height of the doors. It is recommended to walk the area and understand the footprint of a 20-40ft container on your property.
Yes, absolutely! If you have any doubts about the suitability of your location for delivery, please feel free to email us (info@wordpress-ii50toc4j7x5rj4rxpmmzx46.visyum.com.br) pictures and videos of your location. We can then assess the site and confirm if delivery is possible.
While our transport partner can assist during the placement of the container, it is your responsibility to have a leveled ground prepared beforehand. Please make the necessary arrangements to have the ground leveled prior to delivery.
No, we are unable to drop the containers on raised foundation pillars. However, we can place the containers on railroad ties.
Unfortunately not. We use tilt beds to delivery your container. Therefore, we are unable to place the container over a fence or any other object.
