The #1 question we get asked, and the answer is no. 

1. The very first step is to verify you have permission to place a container where you plan to do so. Double check with your neighbors, business partners, wives or anyone else involved in your project PRIOR TO PURCHASE.
2. Build a pad for the container. See our section about pad construction for further details. ( link to pad page)
3. Check entrance width: Assess the width of the entrance, considering any fences, trees, or other structures that may limit the truck’s passage. Ensure that the entrance is at least 12ft wide to for the truck to access. If you are unsure of the access, share photos or videos of the delivery location with us before delivery. On or before delivery day, clear your driveway or property of any obstructions that may block the truck’s path. Remove any parked vehicles, equipment, trash, ground debris or other items that might obstruct access.

We need to ensure that the delivery truck has a space of at least 12ft wide to maneuver, so it can easily access your location without any obstacles in the way. Additionally, we need at least 65′ of straight line access in the direction of exit. Meaning, when the truck pulls away from sliding the container off, we have a clean, straight path to exit. We cannot unload while turning to avoid a tree, curb, fence post, or your neighbor’s building. 

Acceptable: Dry compacted gravel, dry compacted dirt, asphalt, concrete

Not acceptable: Loose dirt, wet gravel & dirt, mud, sand, soft grass, snow & ice, steep inclines or declines, sloping surfaces, drains & ditches, trenches

Yes! Shipping containers need to be kept level; otherwise, you may encounter issues with the doors, such as stiffness or becoming unworkable. These containers are specifically designed to tolerate a certain level of flexing while at sea on a shipping vessel. However, when you place a shipping container on uneven ground, it may flex to one side, causing difficulties in properly closing the doors.

To ensure smooth operation of the doors, we highly recommend a level area and clear any debris from the surroundings. Despite their size and strength, containers are sensitive to shifting when placed on uneven ground.

Our drivers can assist with advice and repositioning assistance during the drop off,  but it is your responsibility to have the appropriate resources on hand.  If you choose to put cribbing under the container,  please have that ready and waiting close by. DO NOT place any cribbing down first.  Please make the necessary arrangements to have labor assistance on site if necessary. 

Yes, absolutely! If you have any doubts about the suitability of your location for delivery, please feel free to email us (info@wordpress-ii50toc4j7x5rj4rxpmmzx46.visyum.com.br) pictures and videos of your location. We can then assess the site and confirm if delivery is possible.

Sort of,  if you want to build corner piers for your container ( we don’t recommend), we can set the furthest end of the container on them, granted they are not more than 12′ high at the max! Railroad ties are the absolute worst to work with. Please seriously reconsider not using them. The best thing to do is call and talk with us, and also send photos if this describes your delivery site. 

Unfortunately not. You would need a crane to do that. Cranes are expensive and we don’t have a crane. But if you need one!  you can always hire one and we will work with them. Be advised, Cranes are easily $1000+ per hour with job minimums. Some towns like NYC require a crane permit, which also costs $$$. 

1. Determine which way the doors of the container will face once it is delivered. This will help you plan the placement of the container at your location prior to your container arrival.
2. Ensure that you have enough space to fully open the container doors when placed. Take into account the width and height of the doors. It is recommended to walk the area and understand the footprint of a 20-40ft container on your property.

The specially designed containers you see with side access doors, double-end doors, and other unique features are not re reused again in shipping. They are built specifically in China to be resold here in the States for profit.  Importers do not need side doors or fancy colors to import goods; standard single door containers are all that is needed most of the time. They also cost 3 times as much as a regular container.
