Our evolution is actually by accident, but was never regretted. Going back to 2011 we started in the used auto parts business and also operated a fleet of tow trucks. One day a customer asked us if we could haul a shipping container, we excepted the job with no experience in moving such a large object.  We got the job done but not with out some headache and frustration.  A short while later another call came in inquiring about the shipping container we had just moved. The caller wanted to know where he could purchase a container just like the one he had just seen on our truck.  We did not exactly know at the m0ment but vowed to help the man as best as we could. After a bit of research we were able to find a supplier and put the man in touch with them. He quickly purchased a container and hired us to haul it from the city to his property. We got the job done a few days later and he then went on to buy about 8-10 more continers over the next few weeks and we hauled them all. After the 10th box we were so much more efficent and streamlined in the way we hauled and unloaded them. The customer was very impressed and gave out our info to many other contacts. Fast forward a few months, we are receiving 1-3 calls for shipping container sales and rigging per week!  In between the automotive work and car towing, we did the containers when we had the time. Before long we were doing more containers then cars!  After about 2 years of this is was decided to turn the auto lot into a container lot, so that’s just what we did. We then sold off a few of our tow trucks and purchased flatbed trucks that were specifically designed and streamlined for moving shipping containers. We then added all sorts of container moving equipment and  tooling. At this point we focused all of our attention on containers, we were always coming up with new ways to move and position the containers better and faster. In 2023 we changed our name to Jersey Box to reflect our sole dedication to containers sales and to also shed any last remaining relationships with the automotive industry. Don’t miss it one bit !
